Chief Operating Officer
In 1999, Margaret Ferguson started with NTS, today she serves as the Interim Chief Operations Officer. Ms. Ferguson is responsible for all Operations, Cash Management and Portfolio Management departments.
Previous to this position, Ferguson served as Director of Product Management and overseeing all Portfolio Management activity. In addition, Ferguson was responsible for creation NTS products-road mapping, working through the continuum (including delivery and maintenance), and collaboration with all departments to ensure continual client satisfaction.
Ferguson has 16 years of commercial and residential property tax management experience; she has developed knowledge in all levels of property tax administration including operations, cash management and client services. Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Augustana College.
Director of Operations
Karmichael Reed has over 16 years of commercial and residential property tax management experience.
Reed has developed knowledge in all levels of property tax administration including mapping legal descriptions, researching properties and parcels, obtaining and reporting current and delinquent tax data, obtaining refund monies from taxing entities and resolving client issues.
In his current position as Director of Operations, Reed reports directly to the COO, overseeing the Research, Verification, Current Tax and Special Services Departments. He works with all departmental managers overseeing company policy and best practices. With 16 years commercial and residential property tax management experience, Reed has become integral part of the NTS family. Reed has a BS in Accounting from the Roosevelt University.
Director of Systems Data
Kevin Carsten came to National Tax Search in 2007 and now acts as the Director of Systems Data responsible for the accuracy all jurisdictional data and overseeing all jurisdictional relationships.
Prior to NTS, Mr. Carsten worked as Title Examiner and Escrow Officer to Commercial Land Title Insurance and Commercial Examiner at Chicago Title. Mr. Carsten holds Bachelors in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University.
Manager - Tax Verification
David Stratis came to NTS in 2001. In his current position, David manages the Research Department. David is responsible for overseeing and improving process with NTS research teams including due diligence, reporting and research of commercial and residential taxes for our clients.
David Stratis has over 18 years of financial services experience, including commercial and residential property tax management, underwriting, commercial and consumer credit, collections and customer service.
Manager of Human Resources
Karitza Hines came to National Tax Search in 2006; currently, she serves as Manager of Human Resources, ensuring the overall safety, welfare and wellness of all the employees.
With an over 50% employment growth in 2013, Karitza has proven to be very important to our staff, managing recruiting & staffing logistics, compensation and benefits administration, and charitable giving. Karitza has amassed nearly 16 years recruiting and staffing experience throughout her career, starting with Accounting Resource staffing and BTI Staffing, duties that includes running a full recruitment desk.
Retained Talent Manager
Tanisha Pass came to National Tax Search in 2001, and now acts as Manager of Retained Talent, overseeing retained talents teams in due diligence, reporting, and research of commercial and residential taxes for our clients.
Tanisha has over 15 years of experience in the commercial and property tax research arena serving an essential role in nationwide tax reporting, property mapping systems and legal description interpretation. Tanisha holds a Masters in Business Administration from Roosevelt University.
Manager of Current Tax
Scott Rogers has nearly 21 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate tax management and mortgage servicing. During his career, he has performed all aspects of property tax servicing, including mapping legal descriptions, obtaining and reporting current and delinquent tax information, non-escrow reporting, tax payment processing, refund processing, and analyzing escrow accounts.
In his current position, Scott Rogers manages the operations of the Current Tax Department and is responsible for collecting and reporting escrow tax information for upcoming taxes due, quality control of the current tax reporting process and handling client related inquiries.
Manager - Research
Willesha has 13 years of experience in the commercial, residential and title management and mortgage servicing areas. While working with National Tax Search she has had the experience of working at several levels of processing payments, reporting current, delinquent and sold tax information, as well as, communication updates with client matters. In Willesha’s current position she manages research, utilizing mapping systems, legal description interpretation and escrow/non-escrow reporting. She also works with other departments in handling of payments and reporting to additional areas such as Canada and US providences. She currently has a bachelor degree from the University of Illinois and has had previous experience in the areas of recruiting and stock market regulations.
